In January 2008 New Zealand Video Tours was sold to John and Lois Allen, and renamed NZVT Films. The directors of NZVT Films have many years of experience in tourism and marketing as owners of Friars Guide, New Zealand's premier guide for luxury accommodation and tourism activities.

The new owners are currently researching new product ideas and remastering older material. It’s an exciting time as the industry moves towards Hi-Definition content and caters to an increasingly sophisticated market.
